Welcome to Memoxia. By using our mobile application or website (memoxia.com), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Memoxia, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

Memoxia is a vocabulary learning application that uses AI-powered translations, image generation, and spaced repetition to help you learn and retain new words. The service includes a mobile app and a web-based companion.

3. Eligibility

You must have legal capacity to accept these Terms. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, use of the Service requires permission from a parent or legal guardian.

4. Accounts

You may sign in using Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must provide accurate information when creating your account.

5. License to Use the Service

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial learning purposes.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the service
  • Use automated systems to access the service in a manner that sends more requests than a human could reasonably produce
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the service
  • Use the Service to create or distribute harmful, infringing, or abusive content

7. User Content

You retain ownership of the vocabulary and words you add to Memoxia. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and sync your content as needed to provide the service. AI-generated images and translations are provided for your personal learning use.

8. AI Features

The Service may generate translations, explanations, or images using third-party AI providers. AI outputs may be incomplete or inaccurate and should be reviewed before relying on them. You are responsible for how you use generated content.

9. Intellectual Property

Memoxia and its original content (excluding user content), features, and functionality are owned by Memoxia and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

10. Service Availability

We strive to keep Memoxia available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The app includes offline functionality so you can continue learning even without an internet connection.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time for conduct that we determine violates these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.

12. Third-Party Services

Some functionality depends on third-party providers (for example, Apple, Google, Cloudflare, OpenAI, and analytics/monitoring providers). Their services may be subject to separate terms and policies.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

Memoxia is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that AI-generated translations or images will be perfectly accurate.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Memoxia shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Memoxia harmless from claims, losses, and expenses arising out of your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where Memoxia is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence remain unaffected.

17. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
